It was built by a patron of the Arts, Alice Phelan, who was the sister of Senator Phelan and the daughter of James Phelan, who built the Phelan Building on Market Street.In 1981, a man with vision, Charles W. Mosser purchased the Keystone and renamed it The Mosser.Mr. Mosser, seeking to place his own mark upon his new hotel, restored and re-furbished the hotel to return it to the splendor of yesterday.The now renovated Mosser Hotel incorporates a modern contemporary décor with the building’s original Victorian architecture, creating a fusion of the old and the new.
